Kings Bay: Supporting Our Submarine Community |
Since the contract’s inception, the Shipboard Logistic Team has played a vital role in receiving, stowing, and distributing food provisions at the Food Provisions Warehouse on base. With responsibility for loading approximately 9000 cases of food per month into module storage containers, our team’s efforts directly contribute to supporting the crews of the submarines stationed at Kings Bay. Food for Clay County was thrilled to be invited to participate in an important community initiative titled “Operation Hammer and Hope,” where over 20 local organizations and agencies are joining forces to break the cycle of addiction and restore hope to our community. Thank you, Assisting Hands Home Health Care, for making a positive impact this February! The February Food Drive, benefiting Challenge Enterprises Community Outreach Program, Food for Clay County, collected an incredible 894 pounds of food. Your generous donations went directly to the residents of Clay County through weekly food distribution events in March.

This year, Challenge Enterprises will be hosting 61 Gear Up Florida cyclists and crew members over two days. We are currently seeking a host site to overnight the riders, meal sponsors and volunteers for this event. The host overnight host site could be a gym or meeting hall with access to bathrooms and showers. The riders come with sleeping bags to rough it out during this journey.
