The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie/Auxiliary 4365, based in Orange Park, recently substantially donated $6822.00 to Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. This generous contribution was made possible through the dedicated efforts of FOE Aerie/Auxiliary 4365 members, who organized various fundraising activities. The highlight of their fundraising efforts was a drawing event featuring two meticulously crafted Cornhole boards. All proceeds from the event were included in the donation check presented to Challenge Enterprises, which aims to support adults living with disabilities. An excited CEO of Challenge Enterprises, Nancy C. Keating, explained, ” This generous donation demonstrates the long-term commitment of the FOE to the community of individuals with disabilities. This financial support will provide needed funds to support the training programs.”
Warehouse Tour and Partnership:
FOE Aerie Secretary Desiree Bryan, Auxiliary President Jackie McClellan, and Member Edward McClellan were given an exclusive tour of Challenge Enterprises’ Green Cove Springs warehouse facility. During that time, they witnessed firsthand the organization’s various enterprises, including the Shred for Good secure document destruction, Food for Clay County Food Bank, and the production of packing and shipping materials through their industrial sewing program.“The tour was great and very informative. Unbelievable what Challenge Enterprises has done and how they make people with disabilities feel like they belong and are useful to society,” said Desiree Bryan, Secretary for FOE Aerie 4365 The adult Day Training Program participants warmly greeted the group, who showed their appreciation with applause and excitement.
History of Support:
The FOE’s enduring partnership with Challenge Enterprises spans over 26 years, with approximately $20,000 donated to date. FOE Aerie/Auxiliary 4365 remains dedicated to its motto of “People Helping People” and Challenge Enterprises’ mission purpose is to promote the Power of People and Possibilities for individuals living with different abilities. This is a partnership about making a difference in the lives of people. This longstanding partnership began with FOE member Billy Marrs and continues to thrive due to the dedicated efforts of FOE Aerie Secretary Desiree Bryan.
Going Above and Beyond:
The FOE Aerie/Auxiliary members contribute financial support and donate goods and services to Challenge Enterprises. Moreover, for several years, they have organized Christmas dinners at Ridgeview High School for program participants and their families. This Orange Park service organization consistently demonstrates its passion for the mission of Challenge Enterprises and its commitment to fostering inclusion in the community.
