Clay County Community Outreach is an annual community-run event for all of Clay County! 60+ non-profit organizations participate in this event giving away free food, back-to-school backpacks, hygiene kits, services, and information to low-income and homeless families and individuals.
This year, Challenge Enterprises collected hygiene items like shampoo, combs, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc. to be included in the hygiene kits. This donation drive was a friendly competition between our different work sites. Ship Board Logistics was the overall winner, having collected 173 lbs of donated items. Green Cove Springs had a last-minute large donation courtesy of our warehouse team, raising their donation to 170 lbs. Orange Park, who had been on the leader board from the start, ended up in third place with 150 lbs. A total of 493 lbs of hygiene items were donated to the Clay County Community Outreach!!!
Thank you to all who participated and made this collection drive a GINORMOUS success. A special shout out to Shred for Good for lending a hand in weighing all the items and getting them ready for transport.
