Every October, Challenge Enterprises celebrates its anniversary and National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Our rich history over the last 49 years has mostly focused on employment for individuals of all abilities. The theme for NDEAM 2021 is “America’s Recovery Powered by Inclusion”. During the pandemic, our individuals with differences were making a difference by sewing protective gear, cleaning public spaces, stocking shelves, loading and unloading vessels, and various other activities to keep our economy and way of life on track.
Inclusion in the workforce is part of our mission, but we face a consistent roadblock…reliable transportation!
