For twenty years, Samantha (Sam) Wilkins has been an extraordinary part of the Challenge Enterprises family—championing the Power of People and Possibilities for individuals living with disabilities. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering belief in our mission have made a profound and lasting impact on the employees, families, and teams she has supported.
A Journey of Advocacy and Leadership
Sam began her journey in 2003 as the Project Manager for the NAS Jacksonville Commissary. From the very start, she proved to be a fierce advocate for her employees and their families, helping them pursue and achieve meaningful employment goals.
After moving on from the commissary, Sam later returned to lend her expertise when Challenge Enterprises took on a new commissary contract in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she played a key role in training leadership and employees at the Fort Jackson Commissary. Her commitment to developing others continued when she returned to train the new Project Manager at the NAS Jacksonville Commissary.
A Return to the Mission
Although Sam resigned in 2019, her dedication to the mission never faded. In 2021, she rejoined Challenge Enterprises as a trainer in the Adult Day Training program in Green Cove Springs. The following year, she accepted the position of Assistant Project Manager at the NAS Jax Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE). In this role, she excelled while continuing to lift others—supporting the new Project Manager at the NAS Jacksonville Commissary and guiding the organization through a smooth transition to a smaller commissary contract.
A Legacy of Teamwork and Heart
Throughout her career, Sam has embodied what it means to be a team player—always giving 110% and leading with knowledge, integrity, and heart. She has been a mentor, a champion for others, and a steady presence committed to helping every individual reach their fullest potential.
Thank You, Sam
Sam leaves behind a legacy of leadership, teamwork, and genuine care for the people we serve. She will be deeply missed—and forever appreciated.
