Robert Sykes has played a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) Tacachale facility in Gainesville, Florida. His janitorial responsibilities span four buildings daily, covering an impressive 23,679 square feet. Robert’s meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence have significantly elevated the standard of cleanliness at Tacachale, earning him recognition from building managers and colleagues alike.
What sets Robert apart from his peers is not only his exceptional work ethic but also his remarkable interpersonal skills. He is frequently described as kind, considerate, and polite, with a natural ability to build strong relationships with coworkers and tenants. His Project Manager, Judy Thompson, praises Robert as one of the most thorough employees she has ever worked with, highlighting his ability to understand and complete any job assignment with precision and reliability.
Robert’s dedication extends beyond the workplace. His involvement in the Special Olympics is a testament to his determination and passion. He has participated in flag football, basketball, and soccer, achieving significant success with his teams finishing second in each sport. His kindness and sportsmanship, both on and off the field, reflect the same qualities that make him an outstanding employee.
