The Life Skills Development Center is a 16,000 sq. ft. facility located at 3530 Enterprise Way in Green Cove Springs. The program operates year round with minimal holiday breaks.  Adults with varying disabilities such as Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Intellectual and Developmental and Visual and Hearing impairments work with staff who support their personal goals. Funding for this training program is provided in part by the State of Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities private funding and contributions.

There are five training rooms and a large kitchen area where adults have an opportunity to practice new life skills of their choice. These activities may include daily living tasks, meal preparation, computer skills, budget preparation, developmental table games, and Wii Sports. Trained volunteers schedule their time at the Center to conduct recreational activities, work as partners on skill games, discuss current events, and teach new social skills.

The Life Skills Development program enables individuals to select from multiple work opportunities. Participants can learn on the job at government and commercial facilities under the direction/coaching of Challenge Enterprises Project Managers. This prepares a person for independent competitive employment or supportive employment in their community. Challenge Enterprises offers employee assistance when an individual requests gainful competitive employment as a person goal.
